Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Primer’s websites, applications, software, and related services. By using Primer, you agree to these Terms.
Last updated: August 24, 2026
Using Primer
You must be at least 18 years old, or old enough to form a binding contract where you live, to use Primer. If you use Primer for an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms on its behalf.
You are responsible for your account, keeping your credentials secure, and all activity under your account. Information you provide must be accurate and kept current.
The service
Primer provides AI-assisted tools for creating, presenting, explaining, and working with product and business content. We may improve, add, change, or discontinue features over time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of material changes that significantly reduce paid functionality.
Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit to Primer. You grant Primer a limited, non-exclusive license to host, copy, process, transmit, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service and provide requested features.
You represent that you have the rights needed to submit your content and that its use through Primer will not violate law or another person's rights.
AI-generated output
Primer may generate text, images, layouts, recommendations, or other output from your instructions and content. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or similar to output generated for others. You are responsible for reviewing output before relying on, publishing, or sharing it.
To the extent permitted by law, and subject to any third-party rights, you may use output generated for you. Primer does not guarantee that output is unique or eligible for intellectual property protection.
Acceptable use
You may not use Primer to:
- violate laws, regulations, or another person's rights;
- create or distribute harmful, deceptive, abusive, or illegal material;
- upload malware or interfere with the service or its security;
- access accounts, systems, or data without authorization;
- reverse engineer or circumvent usage limits or safeguards; or
- resell or commercially exploit the service unless we agree in writing.
Primer’s intellectual property
Primer and its licensors own the service, including its software, design, branding, documentation, and underlying technology. These Terms do not grant you ownership of Primer or permission to use our trademarks except as necessary to identify the service.
If you provide feedback, you allow us to use it without restriction or compensation.
Paid services
Prices, billing periods, usage allowances, and renewal terms are shown when you purchase a plan. Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise.
We may change pricing with advance notice. Taxes are your responsibility unless they are included in the displayed price.
Third-party services
Primer may depend on or link to third-party services. We are not responsible for third-party products, content, availability, or practices, and your use of them may be governed by separate terms.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using Primer at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, create risk or harm, fail to pay fees, or if required by law. Where practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.
Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect, including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute terms.
Disclaimers
Primer is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Primer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities.
Primer's total liability arising from the service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid Primer during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim or US $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
Changes and contact
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post revised Terms here and update the date above. Continuing to use Primer after revised Terms take effect means you accept them.
Questions about these Terms can be sent to [email protected].
